Above: CORRECTION -- The WGH Majorette at left is Kathleen Tomlin.
Above: Correction on names -- from left: Kathleen Tomlin, Marlene Adams, Kay Iacozili, Sally Kingsbury.
ABOVE -- CORRECTION: In 1916 the new band was the Warren High School Band, named for Warren High School (WHS) located on Monroe St, NW in Warren. Five years later, in 1921 the senator from Ohio, Warren Gamaliel Harding, was elected 29th President of the United States 1921 to 1923. Two years after his death, a new high school was built in 1925 at the intersection of Atlantic and Elm Road NE, and named for President Harding. The new WGH High School teams were known as "The Presidents" from 1925 until 1948. That year, in 1948 a new mascot was selected: the Panthers. The above article incorrectly refers to the 1916 band as the "Harding Panther" band.
